INSPIRATIONAL: MINDY KALING

La protagonista dell'INSPIRATIONAL di oggi è un personaggio molto particolare: creatrice e protagonista di una delle mie serie preferite di quest'anno (The Mindy Project ndr), Mindy Kaling è una 30-qualcosa-enne indo-americana. In The Mindy Project interpreta una ginecologa, appassionata di film romantici, in perenne ricerca del suo Mr. Darcy.

Ma, tralasciando la sua simpatia, la cosa che mi ha colpito di più di quest'attrice curvy è il suo stile! 

Per questo, mi sembra giusto condividere con voi un pò di sano stile newyorkese!

My inspiration for this week is a very special character: the creator and the star of one of my favorite series (The Mindy Project), Mindy Kaling is a 30-something-year-old Indian-American woman. In The Mindy Project she plays a gynecologist, with a deep knowledge about romantic movies, in constant search of her Mr. Darcy.

But, leaving aside his sympathy, my favorite thing about this curvy actress is her style!

For this, it seems fair to me share with you a little bit of healthy New York style!

COACHELLA MUSIC FESTIVAL 2013

La settimana appena passata ha avuto un evento protagonista: il Coachella, il popolare festival musicale (che detto così sembra quasi la sagra degli gnocchi) che si tiene ogni anno in California.

Non è stato facile trovare dei look che mi piacessero perché:

• Le vestite precisine erano fuori luogo come l'ananas sulla pizza (vi prego, non provatelo mai) o come Nicole Hilton con una borsa di Valentino nel deserto.
• Quelle che hanno nell'armadio la categoria "vestiti gipsy" per queste occasioni non le approvo.

Alla fin fine le mie scelte sono state abbastanza monotone: chi ha indossato shorts + camicia/top/crop top ha stravinto in fatto di buon gusto e pertinenza!

The main event of the last week was Coachella, the popular music festival, which take place every year in California.

It was not easy to find looks I liked because:

• The well-ordered look were out-of-place like pineapple on pizza (please, do not ever try it) or like Nicole Hilton with a Valentino bag in the desert.
• I don't approve the looks too gipsy.

At the end, my choices are quite monotonous: who wore shorts + shirt / top / crop top won in terms of relevancy and good taste!

SHORT HAIR INSPIRATIONS

Due mesi fa mi è successa una delle cose più temute da ogni ragazza: il mio parrucchiere ha sbagliato a farmi la permanente e ho dovuto tagliare i capelli. Avevo una chioma lunga fino a metà schiena e senza volerlo me li sono ritrovati ad altezza orecchio. E' stato uno shock. Totale. (Anche perchè mi sono fatta semi bionda, ma questa è un'altra storia).

Da quel giorno ho dovuto cambiare modo di agghindarmi e trovare qualcosa che più si confacesse al mio nuovo taglio. Ecco qua, quindi, qualche ispirazione per chi come me ha i capelli lunghi quanto degli spaghettini da minestra!

Two months ago I had one of the most feared event for every girl: my hair-stylist made me a wrong treatment and I should cut my hair. Before that, I had very long long hair and five minutes later I got short hair. 

I was shocked. 

Totally. (Also because I became semi blonde, but that's another story).

Since that day I had to change the way-to-look and to find something that best fit me with my new haircut. Here, then, some inspirations!
